This citrus-flavored powder is made with a specially targeted ingredient—phenylbutazone—which helps to relieve swelling by blocking specific enzymes. It may be prescribed by your veterinarian to treat a variety of temporary inflammatory conditions, such as a pulled tendon, acute laminitis or joint problems. This form of Bute comes in a convenient powder that can be put into your horse’s feed.

Drug & Food Interactions	Talk to your veterinarian about any other drugs your horse is taking before starting this medication.
Precautions	Concomitant use with other anti-inflammatory drug, such as NSAIDs or corticosteroids, should be avoided or closely monitored. Do not use in animals intended for human consumption.
Recommended Dosage	For horses only: Administer orally (using the 0.6 ounce {18 mL} scoop provided) on a small amount of palatable feed and mix well. Give one to two level scoops per 500 pounds of body weight, but do not exceed four scoops per animal daily. Use the high dose for the first 48 hours, then gradually reduce to maintenance dose.
Storage Instructions	Store at controlled room temperatures between 59° – 86°F.
