Product Information

Selarid provides broad spectrum protection against most internal and external parasites in puppies and kittens. Selarid kills adult fleas and prevents flea eggs from hatching and is indicated for the prevention and control of flea infestations, prevention of heartworm disease, and treatment and controls ear mites in dogs and cats. Selarid treats and controls sarcoptic mange and controls infestations of the American dog tick or Wood tick in dogs. Selarid treats and controls infections from intestinal hookworms and roundworms in cats. Selarid is a once-monthly topical treatment that is applied to the pet’s skin.

Benefits	Selarid is a systemically acting, broad-spectrum parasiticide that has a well-defined safety profile combined with excellent efficacy to help protect your dog and cat against a wide variety of parasites. Selarid enters the bloodstream through the skin. Concentrations of Selarid in the blood and tissues prevents heartworm disease in cats and dogs. Selarid selectively redistributes from the blood to the skin and other tissues, where it provides protection against fleas, flea eggs, and ear mites in cats and dogs.
Active Ingredients	Selamectin
Side Effects	Rare side effects include vomiting, loose stools or diarrhea with or without blood, loss of appetite, drowsiness, salivation, rapid breathing and muscle tremors. A small percentage of cats may temporarily lose their hair and have slight inflammation at or near the site of application. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.
