Vitamin K1 Injection is a prescription sterile, aqueous solution used in veterinary medicine to treat severe coagulation (blood clotting) disorders in animals. The active ingredient, Phytonadione, provides the essential vitamin required for the liver to synthesize blood clotting factors and restore normal coagulation.
Uses
This life-saving treatment is most frequently administered to companion animals to counteract the bleeding effects of anticoagulant rodenticide (rat poison) toxicity. It is also highly effective in treating other conditions that cause Vitamin K deficiency, such as hypoprothrombinemia, in both livestock and pets.
