Phenylephrine is a decongestant that shrinks blood vessels. since it acts as both a decongestant and vasoconstrictor it can treat stuffy nose, sinus problems, and hemorrhoids.
Phenylephrine ophthalmic (for the eyes) can treat uveitis and wide-angle glaucoma. It can also dilate the pupil of the eye. It is also used to relieve eye redness, dryness, burning, and irritation caused by wind, sun, and other irritants.
